Articulate Storyline 360

Instructional Coaching for Hub Leaders

Audience:
All Hub Leaders across the organisation's community centres.

Business Problem:
The charity is experiencing declining user satisfaction due to inconsistent service delivery and reduced volunteer retention. Hub Leaders report challenges managing a diverse volunteer base with varying levels of experience.

Solution:
This e-Learning course equips Hub Leaders with practical instructional coaching techniques to support volunteers during live service. By promoting early intervention, building confidence, and improving consistency in guest interactions, the course aims to increase guest satisfaction to 80–90% and improve volunteer and Hub Leader retention by at least 10% within 12 months.

Highlights:
A central animated avatar models the Hub Leader role across scenario-based contexts to support real-world application. The course follows Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction to maximise engagement and interactivity. Learners receive differentiated feedback and navigate branching scenarios for targeted support.

Process:
The initial analysis clarified the current state and organisational goals, informing the desired future state and required performance skills. Measurable objectives were defined and mapped through content plans. Scenario-based design ensured practical application, while storyboards and Articulate Storyline 360 prototypes supported iterative testing and feedback aligned with organisational practice and branding. Final deliverables were SCORM-compliant for deployment.

Evaluation:

Evaluation aligned with Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training Evaluation (Levels 2 and 3). Three knowledge checks and one reflective task supported self-assessment, followed by a final graded quiz (5 scenario-based multiple-choice questions, 80% pass mark). Manager observations, alongside volunteer and guest satisfaction surveys, will assess impact six months post-training, with retention data used as supplementary evidence.

Articulate Rise 360

Personal Device Security Training for Healthcare Staff

Audience:

All staff at a small private healthcare company based in the UK.

Business Problem:

Inconsistent use of personal device security among staff was putting patient data at risk. While employees were permitted to use their own devices, gaps in awareness and practice created potential GDPR compliance issues and increased the likelihood of data breaches.

Solution:

This e-learning course outlines best practices aligned with updated organisational policies. It ensures staff understand their responsibility in protecting patient data and feel confident applying secure device use in everyday work-related scenarios. The goal is to achieve 100% compliance with device security standards within 3 months, reducing risk and supporting GDPR compliance.

Highlights:

Content is aligned with current cybersecurity risks and GDPR requirements in healthcare, using a problem-based approach to reinforce individual responsibility. Learners are guided in the use of secure devices, communication practices, and in identifying and reporting potential breaches. Interactive elements are used to segment content, support engagement, and enable learners to track their progress and understanding.

Process:

Collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts identified key risks, clarified staff knowledge gaps, and ensured alignment with organisational systems and procedures. Content mapping structured the learning, with iterative development in Articulate Rise 360, allowing for regular feedback and refinement. Final outputs were delivered via HTML, with staff required to acknowledge updated policies upon completion. Supporting job aids were created to encourage ongoing safe practices beyond the training.

Evaluation:

Evaluation followed Kirkpatrick Levels 2 and 3. Knowledge checks and a final scenario-based assessment (5 multiple-choice questions, 80% pass rate) measured understanding and application. Behavioural impact is monitored through stakeholder observations and the tracking of data breaches.
